Pete Sampras

Without a doubt the number one player in the world. Pete Sampras has beaten everyone

and won every major championship. His titles include Wimbledon the U.S. and Australian

Open. As well as many other Grand Slam Tournaments. He owns the record for longest

stint as number one ranked. It appears that Sampras has lost some of his zeal for tennis lately.

He has ALLOWED a few others to hold his number one ranking for certain periods of time, but

they never hold it long. Sampras won Wimbledon at only 19, the youngest ever.
